Can better images make you more money?

Today I want to talk to you about the business part of photoshoots. How creating images in the right way can make you money.

My focus when creating a photoshoot for a bridal designer, retailer or artist is to think of both their artistry and the business potential.

By using existing inspiration and coupling it with current trends, never seen before garments and bridal partnerships, a shoot can take on another level of opportunity for my clients, including business partnerships, PR, global awareness and collaborations.

How can bridal photoshoots actually make me money?

If you plan a shoot with the business potential in the front of your mind, alongside the aesthetics you are trying to achieve, you are much more likely to create images that will make you money.

By creating really on brand and aesthetic images that will appeal to your ideal clients you are already a huge step towards getting more eyes on your business. You are building your like and trust factors through your new images and building momentum.

Image the impact if you had more ways to increase exposure and momentum.

You can do this by linking in with other professionals during your photoshoot. I don’t just mean by networking. Think about all the ways building your network for a photoshoot could increase awareness, PR and potential partnerships for your business.

Here’s a few ways to make money out of these connections:

1- Connecting with other wedding suppliers who might work alongside you on a shoot and then refer you to their brides.

2- Creating content for other aligned bridal businesses who want to pay you to use your content

3- Getting featured on a wedding blog or online magazine (be sure to check if any suppliers are paid advertisers on blogs)

4- Sharing content with like minded professionals on their blog on email marketing and boosting your website SEO, leading you to be found via search engines.

5- Featuring complimentary accessories/ shoes/ dresses alongside your designs on a shoot and having the designer of these pieces share the images to their audience. Such a huge potential to get into another area, region or sector of the market.

All this can create more enquiries, more bookings and more money into your business.

How to I plan a profitable bridal photoshoot?

At the very beginning of planning a shoot think of the different ways you can connect with people who can unlock a new area of business for you.

Think about geographic areas that you might want to get into, wedding suppliers your ideal client uses and blogs/magazines that would benefit you to be in. Remember, by connecting with these new people, they will get the benefits too.

Now, think about how these partnership and connections can enrich the business side of your shoot as well as the aesthetic look. If you are a dress designer can pairing your dresses with a floral headpiece by a florist help both your images and connect you with their audience? Can participating in a styled shoot with a shoe designer you know your brides wear help build your trust factor as well as look great in your finished images?

Really consider the team you bring together and how they will help you build your audience in various areas and platforms. This is how you can get more eyes on your designs, get booked and get more money.

Has that inspired you to think business next time you plan a shoot? It has been the element that has moved the needle the fastest for me and is a non negotiable for me when working with clients.

Pretty pictures are everywhere in the wedding industry but the ones that work for businesses are the ones that connect like minded businesses and their brides. With so many blogs only featuring advertisers we need to be smart. Make your photoshoot work for you by making relevant connections.

I am doing this on every shoot I plan for my clients. I used a team with the same ideal clients but in different geographic locations. For example the photographer on the Faded Grandeur shoot in from Cheshire and the venue from Leicestershire. Now when the images are shown on both these suppliers social media to a similar audience my clients are getting a visibility boost in two different geographic locations.

If you want to participate in a shoot where all the hard work is done for you and I have created all these partnerships for you, you need to book your spot on the Faded Grandeur Editorial Bridal Campaign.

On the shoot, I have a team with their own network, years of connections to crack and UK wide coverage. They will also create your dream images. Click here to get more information.
